Netherlands, Kingdom. A Miniature Order of the Dutch Lion, in Gold, c.1900 Archive Walter Storp (Knight's Cross received(De Orde van de Nederlandse Leeuw). Instituted by King William I of the Netherlands on 29 September 1815. In 18K Gold, a miniature Maltese cross with white enamel arms and ball finials, stylized "W" in each quadrant representing King William I, obverse centre presenting a crowned Imperial Lion with sword, reverse centre in blue enamel presenting the motto of the order: VIRTUS NOBILITAT, the cross is surmounted by finely made Royal crown, measuring 19.
